Jonesin' for a Treo

Now that my phone has begun its slow, inevitable decline into the realm of the $300 paper weight, I've got my eyes peeled for a replacement. And I think I've settled on this bad boy. From a connectivity standpoint I'm sure this thing will help me stay in touch with the world (not so easy at times)...can't wait to get my hands on one.

The sooner the better. My Sanyo has become a liability.

James & Molly | Engagement

Let's face it. I'm a huge, over-eager nerd when it comes to great light. Most of my subjects know this, as embarrassing as it may be.

I'm also a sucker for engagement sessions. They're always a great time and they're a fun, relaxed way to get to know the couple...that makes a huge difference come wedding day.

Friday's session was even better because James and Molly are some of my best friends! James and I go way back, so I'm glad to see them as happy as they are!

got lucky with a little flare:

*the light nerd goes nuts*

I like this moment:

we started to run out of light so I brought out the umbrella...I love using it when I can.

Whitney & JT | Wedding

This was a fun one and it shows! I've known these guys for a while and it was nice to see so many familiar faces at the wedding.

This is a sneak peak for the newlyweds as they kick back in Cancun!

Whitney made a beautiful bride:

Whit's shoes were so cool I'll post them twice:

It means a lot to me that couples trust me to document the most memorable day of their lives. I hope that my clients know how much I appreciate the opportunity!

It's been a great week!

  1. Happy birthday to me (Oct. 10)
  2. Some of my images are being published! (stay tuned)
  3. How 'bout them Cowboys! (Nick Folk's a 'G')

Ahhh...

these new image samples make me very excited about the future of digital photography. As a shooter who prefers to use existing light as much as possible, I've grown to despise the noise I often encounter at high ISOs. Looks like Nikon is looking to eradicate the problem all together.

Dave Hill 's insane

if you appreciate photography, even remotely, you'll probably bookmark his website. Incredible stuff.

Why me?!?

It's just week 5 of the fantasy football season and it already appears I won't be a contender in at least two of my three leagues...woe is me. I'll spare the nerdy details but let's just say Steven Jackson's lack of performance (and now fitness) is KILLING me. Gore's beating me down, too. Sucks when your top picks are pulling up lame.

I've nearly lost hope...keep me in your thoughts.

Alicia & Mario | Wedding

This was my first wedding and Northeast Wedding Chapel in Hurst. Great venue.

Weddings are always fun. Even though I'm completely and utterly exhausted by the end of the event, it's always nice to go through the images and see what we got. Here are a few.
